Craig MacTavish returns for his eighth season as the Edmonton Oilers’ head coach in 2007-08. “MacT” begins the season tied with Minnesota Wild’s head coach, Jacques Lemaire, for the third longest tenure among current NHL coaches. Entering his eighth season as an assistant coach with Edmonton, Bill Moores brings a vast and wide-ranging coaching knowledge to the Oilers as he has served as a coach at the junior, collegiate, international and professional levels. Assistant Coach
Rob Daum becomes the newest member of the Edmonton Oilers coaching staff, making his NHL debut as a member of Craig MacTavish’s staff. Daum, 49, signed a one-year contract with the Oilers on August 13, 2007 and fills the vacancy on the staff created when Craig Simpson resigned his position to accept a broadcast position with CBC’s “Hockey Night In Canada”. ...more

Director of Hockey Administration & Legal Affairs
Rick Olczyk was named the Oilers’ Director of Hockey Administration and Legal Affairs on June 22, 2007. In his position, Olczyk will work closely with both Kevin Lowe and Kevin Prendergast on various hockey operations duties, including player contracts, negotiations and NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement issues. Olczyk, the 37-year-old younger brother of former NHL forward Ed Olczyk, joins the Oilers from the private sector, where he ran his own legal consulting firm in Chicago, Illinois for the past six seasons. ...more

Goaltending Coach
A native Edmontonian, Pete Peeters begins his seventh season as the Oilers’ goaltending coach. One of the premier goaltenders during a 13-season NHL career that saw him tend the twine for three teams from 1978-79 to 1990-91, Peeters is responsible for working with the Edmonton goaltenders at all levels of the organization – from draft choices to the NHL. ...more

Video Coach
Brian Ross is in his 12th season as the Oilers Video Coach and in his 21st season with the Edmonton Oilers after joining the team in 1987-88. The 44-year-old native of Edmonton works closely with the coaching staff, overseeing the preparation and breakdown of game footage of both the Oilers and opposition. ...more

Development Coach
With Kelly Buchberger’s move to Springfield, Bob Mancini returns to the Oilers as Development Coach. Skating and Skills Coach
Now in his second season as the Oilers Skating and Skills Coach, Steve Serdachny brings an extensive background of skating and power skating to the Edmonton organization. The creator of “The Steve Serdachny Power Skating and Skill Development SystemTM", Serdachny has worked at improving the skating and hockey skill sets of players at all levels. CHAD MOREAU
Strength and Conditioning Consultant
Chad Moreau begins his second season as the team’s Strength and Conditioning Consultant. He is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of strength, conditioning and nutrition for players throughout the organization. The brother of Oilers forward Ethan Moreau, Chad has developed the off-season conditioning program that is followed by the Edmonton players.
