General Manager
Steve Tambellini joins the Oilers after 17 seasons as a member of the Vancouver Canucks management team. The 50-year-old native of Trail, British Columbia served as the Canucks’ Vice President and Assistant General Manager for the past three seasons. In his role with the Canucks, Tambellini was involved in all aspects of the team’s hockey operations, including contract negotiations, scouting and minor league affiliates. ...more

KEVIN PRENDERGAST
Assistant General Manager
The 2007-08 season marks Kevin Prendergast’s 25th season in professional hockey and his 18th as a member of the Oilers since joining the organization in 1990-91. His ninth season as Vice President of Hockey Operations, sees an expanded list of responsibilities for Prendergast following the departure of Scott Howson to the Columbus Blue Jackets.. ...more

RICK OLCZYK
Assistant GM/ Director of Hockey Operations & Legal Affairs
Rick Olczyk was named the Oilers’ Director of Hockey Administration and Legal Affairs on June 22, 2007. In his position, Olczyk will work closely with both Kevin Lowe and Kevin Prendergast on various hockey operations duties, including player contracts, negotiations and NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement issues. Olczyk, the 37-year-old younger brother of former NHL forward Ed Olczyk, joins the Oilers from the private sector, where he ran his own legal consulting firm in Chicago, Illinois for the past six seasons. ...more

PAT QUINN
Head Coach
A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Pat Quinn became the ninth head coach in franchise history on May 26, 2009. He comes to Edmonton with an extensive coaching resume which includes over 1300 regular season games, 92 playoff games, two Stanley Cup Final appearances and two Jack Adams Awards as the National Hockey League’s Coach-of-the-Year (1979-80 with the Philadelphia Flyers and 1991-92 with the Vancouver Canucks).

TOM RENNEY
Associate Coach
On May 26, 2009, Tom joined the Oilers after five seasons as Head Coach of the New York Rangers. The Cranbrook, British Columbia native began his tenure with the Rangers organization as Director of Player Personnel before being promoted to Vice-President of Player Development in 2002. Renney was appointed Head Coach with 20 games left in the 2003–04 season. He led the Rangers into the postseason in each of his first three campaigns following the 2004–05 NHL lockout.

KELLY BUCHBERGER
Assistant Coach
Ten seasons after playing his last game in the copper and blue, Kelly Buchberger returned to the Edmonton Oilers as a member of the team’s coaching staff last season. Buchberger, 42, will now join Pat Quinn’s coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2009-10 season. ...more

Development Coach
With Kelly Buchberger’s move to Springfield, Bob Mancini returns to the Oilers as Development Coach. Mancini, who will be based out of his home in Saginaw, Michigan, will work the with Edmonton’s prospects in both the American Hockey League and ECHL and with Oilers draft picks in the junior and college ranks. ...more

STEVE SERDACHNY
Skating and Skills Coach
Steve Serdachny brings an extensive background of skating and power skating to the Oilers’ organization in his role as Edmonton’s Skating and Skills Coach. Now in his third season with the Oilers, he works at improving the skating and hockey skill sets of players at all levels of the organization, working closely with the players during training camp and throughout the season. Prior to his current position, he worked at several Oilers training camps and rookie development camps.  ...more

CHAD MOREAU
Strength and Conditioning Consultant
Chad Moreau begins his second season as the team’s Strength and Conditioning Consultant. He is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of strength, conditioning and nutrition for players throughout the organization. The brother of Oilers forward Ethan Moreau, Chad has developed the off-season conditioning program that is followed by the Edmonton players. During the past several off-seasons a group of Oilers players have spent the summer in southern California training under Moreau’s supervision. ...more
