Oilers-Wild Preview
Edmonton Oilers vs. Minnesota Wild

GAME: Edmonton Oilers (32-23-10) at Minnesota Wild (31-28-7).

TIME: Tuesday, 8 p.m. EST.

The Minnesota Wild have been looking for another consistent scorer to go along with Marian Gaborik and Brian Rolston. Pierre-Marc Bouchard might be that player.

Bouchard looks to continue his success against the Edmonton Oilers when the teams meet at the Xcel Energy Center for the second straight game.

After having gone without a point in his last five games, Bouchard had a goal and three assists against former Wild goalie Dwayne Roloson, including the game-winner in the third period, as Minnesota rallied for a 4-3 win over Edmonton on Sunday.

Bouchard tied his career high with four points, also recording four in Minnesota's 6-3 win at Edmonton on Feb. 10.

Rolston, the Wild's leading scorer, added two goals and two assists Sunday.

"We stepped it up tonight, and if we do that we can be in it. We can make the playoffs," Rolston said.

Minnesota is five points behind Edmonton and Anaheim for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot.

"We're clearly looking over our shoulders right now, and we're the team feeling the most amount of pressure," Oilers coach Craig MacTavish said. "We're playing against teams that are loose and don't have the expectation to make the playoffs. It's a dangerous combination."

Edmonton has lost three straight games in which it was tied or led in the third period.

Roloson was in his fourth season with the Wild as part of coach Jacques Lemaire's rotating goaltender system with Manny Fernandez, but was dealt Wednesday for a first-round draft pick and future considerations after Fernandez emerged as the clear No. 1 this season.

Roloson is still looking for his first win in an Oilers uniform, having allowed 13 goals in three losses. He said he was calm Sunday even after a first period in which Edmonton allowed 16 shots on goal.

"I got shots early and was able to relax," he said. "Most of these guys know my tendencies, and I know theirs."

Roloson, though, allowed goals to newly acquired Martin Skoula and Bouchard 1:46 apart in the third.

Oilers defenseman Chris Pronger had two assists in the loss. He has three goals and four assists in seven games since the Olympic break.
