Acquired: Obtained from the NY Islanders, along with Ryan O'Marra and a first round draft choice (Alex Plante) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, in exchange for Ryan Smyth on February 27, 2007.

2007-08 HIGHLIGHTS: Had single-season career-highs in games, goals, assists, points & finished 6th in scoring with 10-31-41 in 71 GP in first full season with Oilers…led Oilers in plus/minus at +8 & had 22 PIM…was 3rd in assists…scored points in 33 of 71 GP & was plus or even in 57 of 71 GP…had a career-high eight-game scoring streak with 2-7-9 from Nov. 30-Dec. 13…the streak was the 2nd longest by an Oiler on the season; had a seven-game scoring streak (2-6-8) from Feb. 24-Mar. 9…5th on Oilers with eight multiple-point games…was 4 for 7 in the shootout, scoring one GWG vs. Detroit (Feb. 26)…scored 1st career Oilers assist at Detroit (Oct. 8) & played in 100th career NHL game vs. San Jose (Jan. 29)…had three game-winning assists, including two on Andrew Cogliano’s OT GWGs vs. Columbus & Chicago (Mar. 7-9)…played in 5 games with Springfield Falcons, scoring 2-2-4 & 4 PIM; recalled from AHL affiliate on Oct. 31…member of Team Sweden at 2008 IIHF World Championship tournament in Halifax & Quebec City, scoring 2-4-6 in 9 GP.

2006-07: Began season with the NY Islanders’ organization and finished as a member of the Edmonton Oilers…started his second professional season in Bridgeport (AHL) and scored 12-34-46 with 34 PIM and was -2 in 50 games for the Sound Tigers before being traded to the Oilers on Feb. 27…was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton following the trade and played 19 games for the Penguins, scoring 6-14-20 with 14 PIM…was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Mar. 14 and made his Oilers debut vs. Minnesota (Mar. 15), scoring his 1st Oilers goal…with his appearance as an Oiler, became the first father-son combination to play with the Oilers as his father, Kent, played with Edmonton in 1986-87 & 1994-95...combined to score 18-48-66 with 48 PIM in 69 games in the AHL with Bridgeport and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton…finished tied for 2nd in scoring on Bridgeport with 46 points in 50 games…led Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in playoff scoring, netting 3-12-15 with 8 PIM in 11 games.

2005-06: Made his NHL debut with NY Islanders…scored 6-14-20 with 26 PIM in 53 GP…played first career NHL game with NY Islanders in a 6-4 loss at Buffalo (Oct. 5)…scored first career NHL point with an assist in a 5-3 win at Washington (Oct. 13)…netted first career NHL goal against Martin Biron  in a 6-4 loss vs. the Sabres (Oct. 29)...registered three multiple-point games, including a career-high three point game (1-2-3) vs. Washington (Apr. 8)…had career-high five shots on goal vs. Buffalo (Oct. 29)…had a career-high four-game assist and point scoring streak (1-4-5) from March 19-25/06…also saw playing time with Bridgeport, scoring 8-20-28 in 29 games in the AHL…added 1-4-5 in 7 Calder Cup playoff games.

EUROPE: Played five seasons in Europe before coming to North America…played with Leksand at the U-18, junior and senior levels from 2000-01 to 2003-04…made Swedish Elitserien debut with Leksand in 2002-03, scoring 8-13-21 in 41 games…skated for both Leksan and Fribourg (Switzerland) in 2003-04…moved to Djurgardens IF Stockholm in 2004-05.

INTERNATIONAL: Scored 2-4-6 with 2 PIM & was +4 in 9 GP at 2008 IIHF World Championships, helping Sweden to a 4th place finish.
