2006-07: Returned to Russia to play for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Russian Supereliga after spending the three previous seasons (2003-04 to 2005-06) in North America, playing for the Los Angeles and NY Islanders organizations…signed as a free agent by Yaroslavl on July 10, 2006…scored Russian career-high 8-9-17 with 79 PIM in 47 games to finish 8th in scoring and 6th in goals for Yaroslavl…added 0-2-2 with 6 PIM in seven playoff games…established single-season Supereliga highs for goals, assists, points and PIM.
2005-06: Played with two organizations and four teams during the season…began the season with Los Angeles before being traded to NY Islanders, along with Jeff Tambellini, in exchange for Mark Parrish and Brent Sopel on March 8, 2006…prior to the trade, he scored two assists with 12 PIM in eight games with the Kings and scored 2-25-27 in 48 games with Manchester (AHL)…was 2nd on Manchester’s defence in assists & 3rd in points…appeared in 21 games with the Islanders, scoring three assists…made Islanders debut Mar. 10/06 vs. Toronto…registered his first point with New York, scoring an assist at Florida (Mar. 17)…appeared in seven games with Bridgeport during the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs and scored 1-1-2 with 8 PIM.
2004-05: Second pro season saw him score 5-44-49 with 87 PIM in 75 games at Manchester…led Monarchs defencemen in scoring and was tied for fourth among AHL blueliners…led AHL defencemen with 44 assists…finished the season at +21…one of six Monarchs to play in the AHL All-Star Classic…scored 0-4-4 in six playoff games.
2003-04: Began the season with Manchester (AHL) before suffering a wrist injury that required surgery on Dec. 9/03 and forced him to miss eight weeks…recalled to Los Angeles on Feb. 28/04 and made his NHL debut with the Kings vs. Anaheim (Feb. 28)…scored his first point, an assist, the next day at Anaheim (Feb. 29/04)…played four games with the Kings before being returned to Manchester…scored 2-7-9 with 34 PIM in 43 games with Monarchs.
EUROPE: Played four seasons 1999-00 to 2002-03 in Russia with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl organization, spending time with both the Russia Supereliga team and division 3 club…scored 9-18-27 with 115 PIM in 122 career Supereliga games…scored 0-7-7 with 26 PIM in 48 games for Yaroslavl in 2002-03 and added an assist in 10 playoff games as he helped Lokomotiv win the Supereliga championship…made Supereliga debut with Yaroslavl in 2001-02, scoring 1-2-3 in 27 games.
INTERNATIONAL: Has won a medal with Russia at the last two IIHF World Championships, gold in 2008 and bronze in 2007…scored 0-6-6 in 9 GP & was 3rd in the tournament at +12 as Russia won world title at Quebec City in 2008…represented Russia at three IIHF World Junior Championships, winning back-to-back gold medals in 2002 and 2003 in Pardubice, Czech Republic and Halifax, respectively…scored 3-5-8 with 6 PIM in 20 games in his three appearances.
