2006-07: Made professional debut with the Edmonton organization, splitting the season between the Oilers and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL)…scored 1-5-6 with 0 PIM and was even in 12 GP in his Oilers/NHL debut…played first Oilers/NHL game at SJ (Jan. 10)… was scoreless and +1 in 13:23 minutes of play in his debut…scored first Oilers/NHL goal & point at OTT (Feb. 20 vs Martin Gilbert) and tallied his  first Oilers/NHL assist vs COL (Mar. 23)…missed13 games (Feb. 23-Mar. 21) with a concussion suffered at CBJ (Feb. 22)…with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton he scored 4-26-30 with 32 PIM in 48 games to finish tied for 12 on the Penguins scoring list…was 3rd in plus/minus at +10…scored 1-7-8 with 10 PIM in 10 playoff games to finish fourth on the Penguins & second among defencemen…was third in assists…

COLLEGE: Played four seasons at the U of Wisconsin, scoring 33-56-89 with 152 PIM in 162 games from 2002-03 to 2005-06…member of Wisconsin’s NCAA championship team in 2005-06, scoring the GWG in the Badgers’ 2-1 victory over the Boston College Eagles in the Frozen Four championship final…an assistant captain in both his junior and senior years, was named to the NCAA Frozen Four all-tournament team…was named a second team NCAA West All-American and was a WCHA first team all-conference selection…named Wisconsin team MVP in 2004-05…

JUNIOR: Prior to attending Wisconsin, he played one full season with the Chicago Steel of the USHL, scoring 13-15-28 with 62 PIM in 2001-02..also played one game for the Steel in 2000-01…

HIGH SCHOOL: Skated for two seasons in his hometown with Bloomington Jefferson High School from 1999-00 to 2000-01…was a finalist for Minnesota’s Mr. Hockey (Minnesota high school player of the year) & was named the male athlete of the year in 2000-01...

INTERNATIONAL: Scored 1-3-4 and was even in seven GP for Team USA at 2008 IIHF World Championships.
