Game 1 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Final didn't end the way the Oilers wanted it to, but Hemsky's first of two goals in the series was one for the ages. Hemmer took a feed from Jarret Stoll, scorched down the right wing past the Hurricanes defence and deked backhand to beat goalie Cam Ward before crashing into the crossbar. The PPG tied the game at 4-4 late in the third period.
