During the high-scoring 1980s, a shutout was an even greater feat than it is today, making Grant Fuhr’s record of nine shutouts between 1983 and 1991 very impressive. Seven of the nine teams Fuhr shut out were from the Wales Conference (which is now known as the Eastern Conference).
