Chad Scharff is entering his first season with the Oilers after spending time since 2001 with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League where he played, scouted, assistant coached and most recently was the Giants Head Equipment Manager.
Scharff was born in Smoky Lake, Alberta where he was raised and played his minor hockey before moving to Vancouver at age 17. Chad enjoys his summers golfing and has a wife Tracy that currently resides in Vancouver .
