T.D. FORSS
HEAD ATHLETIC THERAPIST


T.D. Forss was named Head Athletic Therapist of the Edmonton Oilers on July 5, 2010. Forss, now in his fifth season with the club, has an extensive background in professional sports, including spending seven years, 2003-2010, as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Canadian Football League’s Edmonton Eskimos.

Prior to joining the Eskimos, Forss served as the Assistant Athletic Therapist with the Calgary Flames from 2001-2003 and Athletic Therapist & Strength Coach for the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League from 1994-98 and 1999-2001.

T.D., who holds a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Alberta, has spent time with Hockey Canada as an Athletic Therapist at the 1992 Spengler Cup as well as the 1996 and 1999 World Junior Hockey Championships. Most recently, TD was selected by Hockey Canada as the Athletic Therapist during the 2012 IIHF Men’s World Hockey Championships in Helsinki, Finland.

He is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society.

T.D. and his wife, Monica, reside in Edmonton with their children Katelin and Liana.
