2012-13 marks Darryl’s 17th season with the Edmonton Oilers. He is responsible and accountable for all Financial, Legal, Facility Operations, HR, IT, Retail, and Administrative aspects of the hockey club, along with similar responsibilities with the Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL), Oklahoma City Barons (AHL) Edmonton Capitals Baseball Team, and other Rexall Sports, Broadcast and Entertainment companies. His role includes leading business relationships with ownership, lending institutions, key stakeholders, the National Hockey League, the Western Hockey League and the American Hockey League. Darryl is also a key member of the Team working with government and community leaders on various projects such as developing the business model for Edmonton’s new downtown arena.

This is a true “Edmontonian” who attended Queen Elizabeth Composite High School, and then graduated from the University of Alberta earning a degree in Economics. In 2002, Darryl completed the U of A School of Business Leadership Development Program. Darryl demonstrates his passion and devotion to the Edmonton community through his continuous involvement with various sporting and recreational activities, board memberships and charitable work. He serves as the Treasurer of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) and sits on the Board for the Make-A-Wish® Foundation for Northern Alberta.

Prior to being recruited to the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club in 1996, Darryl’s strong professional career began with a local CA firm, Kingston Ross Pasnak Chartered Accountants, included a successful diversion into an entrepreneurial initiative in the early 1990’s, as well as a 3 year position with a large TSX listed company as their Senior Financial Analyst responsible for mergers and acquisitions.

Darryl and his wife, Anna are proud parents to their son Tyler and their daughter Mackenzie.
