2015-2016 marks Darryl’s 20th season with the Edmonton Oilers and Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG). He is responsible and accountable for all Oilers Entertainment Group Business Operations, Corporate Communications, Community & Government Relations, and Rogers Place & ICE District operations. Darryl also works on developing key business strategies as part of OEG’s sports and entertainment growth mandate. Darryl is also a key member of the Team working with government and community stakeholders/leaders on various projects such as developing the business model for Rogers Place and the ICE District.  

Darryl is a true “Edmontonian” who attended Queen Elizabeth Composite High School, and then graduated from the University of Alberta earning a degree in Economics. In 2002, Darryl completed the U of A School of Business Leadership Development Program. Darryl demonstrates his passion and devotion to the Edmonton community through his continuous involvement with various sporting and recreational activities, board memberships and charitable work. He serves as the Treasurer of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) and sits on the Board for the Make-A-Wish® Foundation for Northern Alberta. 

Prior to being recruited to the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club in 1996, Darryl’s strong professional career began with a local CA firm, Kingston Ross Pasnak Chartered Accountants, including a successful diversion into an entrepreneurial initiative in the early 1990s, as well as a three-year position with a large TSX listed company as the Senior Financial Analyst responsible for mergers and acquisitions. 

Darryl and his wife Anna are proud parents to their son Tyler and their daughter Mackenzie.
