Oilers ink Pitlick and Hamilton
The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with forwards Tyler Pitlick and Curtis Hamilton, both to one year contracts
Pitlick, 22, appeared in 39 games for the Oklahoma City Barons last season, posting 22 points (8G, 14A), 10 penalty minutes and a plus six rating. He also appeared in two games during the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The 6’2”, 192 pound winger played in 10 games with the Oilers last season, registering his first career National Hockey League goal on October 26th against the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Minneapolis, Minnesota native has accumulated 55 points (18G, 37A) and 48 penalty minutes in 145 career AHL games.
Pitlick was selected by Edmonton in the 2nd round (31st overall), in the 2010 NHL Draft.
Hamilton, 22, appeared in 43 games for the Barons last season, posting 16 points (8G, 8A) and 23 penalty minutes. He also recorded one goal and two assists in three playoff games.
The 6’2”, 214-pound winger has accumulated 36 points (18G, 18A) and 41 penalty minutes in 145 career AHL games.
Hamilton was selected by Edmonton in the 2nd round, 48th overall, in the 2010 NHL Draft.
