2014 IIHF World Championships - Day 11
Four Oilers will be representing their country at the annual tournament. Check back for daily updates.
The Edmonton Oilers have four players participating in the 2014 IIHF World Hockey Championships in Belarus: Ben Scrivens (Canada), Philip Larsen (Denmark), Martin Marincin (Slovakia) and Jeff Petry (United States).

We will have daily updates on the games involving Oilers players, highlights, stats and more so be sure to check edmontonoilers.com regularly!

We will also provide updates on high-ranked 2014 NHL Draft prospect Leon Draisaitl, who is playing for Germany.

DENMARK 2 - FRANCE 6

Edmonton Oilers defenceman Jeff Petry and the rest of the Americans booked their quarter-final spot at the 2014 World Championships with a 3-1 win over Finland on Sunday.

Tyler Johnson scored two goals for the United States, including the game winner at 6:42 of the third period, which gave USA the 2-0 lead. He also provided the insurance goal at 19:14 of the final frame.

Brock Nelson scored the only other goal for the Americans while Tuukka Mantyla scored the lone goal for Finland.

Petry finished +1, playing 12:36.

The Americans play Germany on Tuesday.
