Oilers agree to terms with Jordan Oesterle
The Edmonton Oilers announced they have agreed to terms with Western Michigan Broncos defenceman Jordan Oesterle on a two-year entry-level contract.
Oesterle, 21, has played three seasons with Western Michigan, accumulating 34 points (7G, 27A) in 113 games.
In 2013-14, the 6'0", 185-pound blueliner had a career year, appearing in 34 games for the Broncos, leading all Western Michigan defencemen in blocked shots (70). He also posted career highs in points (17), assists (15) and penalty minutes (27).
Oesterle will join the Oilers American Hockey League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Barons, for the remainder of the season.
