General Manager Craig MacTavish announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with Edmonton Oil Kings forward Mitchell Moroz on a three-year entry level contract.

Moroz, 19, is tied for the team lead in goals (21) and has recorded 34 points (21G, 13A), 87 penalty minutes, and a plus 14 rating in 34 games this season with the Oil Kings.

The 6’3”, 214-pound winger has spent the past three seasons with the Western Hockey League’s Edmonton Oil Kings, accumulating 94 points (50G, 44A) and 360 penalty minutes in 177 games.

The Calgary, Alberta native has registered 15 points (6G, 9A) and 65 penalty minutes in 42 playoff games. Moroz helped the Oil Kings capture 2012 Ed Chynoweth Cup, and advance to the Memorial Cup in Shawninigan, Quebec. He also represented the WHL as a part of the 2013 Subway Super Series.

The Oilers selected Moroz in the 2nd round, 32nd overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
