The Edmonton Oilers play their fifth and final game in a five-game homestand tonight against the Boston Bruins.

12:25: Jordan Eberle rings a shot off the post from the right circle. 10:20: Sam Gagner sneaks in behind the Boston defence and tries to deke out Johnson but the Bruins netminder makes the save.

9:35: Dennis Seidenberg's shot from the left point beats Dubnyk to give Boston a 1-0 lead. | BOS 1, EDM 0
6:52: Larsen clears the puck over the glass from his own zone, giving Boston the game's first power play.

3:49: Jarome Iginla tees up a one-timer blast from the top of the right circle that gets by Dubnyk and doubles the Boston lead. | BOS 2, EDM 0
2:25: Jordan Caron gets sent off for slashing, sending Edmonton on the power play for the first time.

1:43: Larsen's shot is blocked, sending Bergeron and Marchand on a two-on-one. Bergeron feeds the puck over to Marchand in the slot and his shot beats Dubnyk for the goal. | BOS 3, EDM 0

SECOND PERIOD

Second period has started. Jason LaBarbera is now in goal for the Oilers. 

16:35: Oilers score their first of the game, a David Perron wrist shot that finds its way into the top corner of the net behind Johnson. | BOS 3, EDM 1
15:42: Luke Gazdic and Milan Lucic drop the gloves in a spirited fight.
12:57: Oilers open the period with a 6-0 edge on the shot clock.
2:33: Perron does it again, with a brilliant individual effort and a one-handed wraparound goal for his 14th of the season to make it a one-goal game. | BOS 3, EDM 2
50.1: LaBarbera makes a nice glove save off an Iginla wrist shot.

0.0: Shots on goal after 40 minutes were tied at 28-28.
THIRD PERIOD

20:00:
Third period is now underway.

18:55: Seidenberg takes a Jeff Petry shot in the face and has to be attended to.

15:16: Oilers charge into the Boston zone and Yakupov's wrist shot from the slot is snagged by Johnson, game remains 3-2 Bruins.

12:10: Oilers are outshooting Boston 5-0 in the third period so far.

11:06: Marchand heads to the box, giving the Oilers a power play opportunity to tie the game up.

8:53: Edmonton has their chances but can't convert. Shots on goal are now 36-28 for the Oilers (8-0 in the period).

6:40: Bruins finally register their first shot on goal in the period, a weak shot from the corner that LaBarbera steers away easily.

3:08: Seidenberg gets two minutes for putting his hand on the puck, giving Edmonton a power play with one last crack to tie the game.

1:20: Oilers pull LaBarbera for the extra attacker.

43.4: Jarome Iginla scores an empty-netter to make it 4-2 Boston. | BOS 4, EDM 2
