13:55: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins upended Eric Staal in front of his own net, giving Carolina the first power play of the night.

8:56: Nail Yakupov's shot from the left circle after coralling a pass from Hall in the corner of the 'Canes zone finds its way through the legs of Ward. | EDM 2, CAR 1

2:15: Hemsky moves around the 'Canes defenders and narrowly misses trying to stuff the puck in on the short side.

10:23: Jordan Staal draws the Hurricanes to within a pair of goals as his shot finds its way through traffic in front through the legs of Dubnyk. | EDM 4, CAR 2
