The Edmonton Oilers continue their five-game homestand with a game against the Calgary Flames.

17:33: Oilers stormed the Flames net early on, with David Perron nearly scoring. The chance forced Matt Stajan to hook Nugent-Hopkins, giving Edmonton the game's first power play.

16:19: Byron intercepts a pass, creating a two-on-one for the Flames, Byron dished the puck to Stempniak, who fanned on his shot. Byron picked up the rebound but could not score.

14:16: Gagner is clipped with a high stick right off the faceoff by Lance Bouma, giving the Oilers their second power play of the night.

12:49: Tempers flare up on both sides after Perron directs the puck on net after an offside whistle. Perron gets unsportsmanlike conduct on the play.

4:42: Larsen's wrist shot clips the face of Ladislav Smid but he is able to skate to the Flames bench without any help.

4:00: Calgary opens the scoring when Lee Stempniak outmuscles Ference skating down the right wing before teeing up a wrist shot from the right circle that beats Dubnyk high. | CGY 1, EDM 0
58.6: A scrum erupts behind the Oilers net, the end result of which is Blair Jones getting the lone penalty -- for roughing. Oilers head back on the power play.

3.0: Perron's one-timer from the left circle rings off the post behind Reto Berra and out.

0.0: Shots on goal after one period were 12-6 for Edmonton.

Second period is now underway

17:50: David Jones clubs Jeff Petry into the boards and his head whips back towards the glass. Petry has to be helped off the ice.
14:56: Mark Giordano gets two minutes in the box for holding the stick. 

9:25: Oilers announce that Jeff Petry (head injury) will not return to tonight's game.
8:40: Berra makes a pair of big stops on Arcobello.

2:05: Eberle tries to get past Mark Giordano and into a prime scoring area but the Flames defenceman knocks the puck out of harm's way at the top of the crease.

1.6: Joe Colborne heads to the box, setting up an Oilers power play to open the final frame.

0.0: After two, shots on goal were 22-16 for the Oilers.


Third period is now underway

14:45: Colborne trips up Hemsky, setting up Edmonton's sixth man advantage of the night.

13:18: The power play ends after Hemsky takes an interference penalty.

9:33: Shots on goal with just under 10 minutes to play in the final frame were 25-23 for the Oilers.

1:14: Flames call their 30-second timeout as they attempt to hold on to a one-goal lead.

10.1: Taylor Hall is perched at the right side of the net where he picks up the puck from a David Perron flip pass over Berra. Hall makes no mistake, firing it in to tie the game. | EDM 1, CGY 1

4:00: Hall nearly ends it after Justin Schultz's wrist shot has a small rebound but Berra smothers the loose puck before the Oilers winger can get to it.

1:46: Kris Russel's feed finds its way to Jiri Hudler and the Flames winger makes no mistake, rifling the puck past Dubnyk for the game winner. | CGY 2, EDM 1
