The Edmonton Oilers play their 25th game of the regular season tonight and 11th on home ice.

FIRST PERIOD

20:00: The game is underway!

15:36: Taylor Hall was tripped up in the neutral zone by Ben Smith, giving the Oilers the game's first power play.

14:46: Jonathan Toews took advantage of a turnover at the 'Hawks blueline and broke in all alone on Oilers netminder Devan Dubnyk. Toews elected to deke then roofed the puck over the Oilers netminder to make it a 1-0 game. | CHI 1, EDM 0
12:29: Boyd Gordon gets sent off for tripping, sending Chicago to the man advantage for the first time on the night.

11:54: During a goalmouth scramble, Patrick Kane soops in and picks up the loose puck and lifts it over Dubnyk to double the Blackhawks lead. | CHI 2, EDM 0
7:56: Nick Leddy gets two minutes for interference, giving the Oilers power play a chance to get the home side back in the game.

5:24: The Oilers nearly score shortly after the penalty expires. Ryan Smyth redirects a feed into the slot but Corey Crawford makes a big stop.

2:24: Justin Schultz goes to the box after high sticking a Blackhawks to set up another Chicago power play.

0.0: Shots on goal after one period were 12-6 for Chicago.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Second period is now underway.

18:32: A blast from the point by Johnny Oduya is stopped by Dubnyk but the rebound ricocheted off Corey Potter in front and in to make it a three-goal Blackhawks lead. | CHI 3, EDM 0
14:11: Jeremy Morin skated in on the rush and made a nice move at the left circle before dishing the puck in front to Andrew Shaw for the easy tap in. | CHI 4, EDM 0
14:11: After the goal, Ilya Bryzgalov made his Oilers debut, replacing Dubnyk in goal.
11:52: Justin Schultz wires a shot from the right circle off the bar and in to narrow the gap to 4-1. | CHI 4, EDM 1
9:47: The goal charges up the Oilers as they have another shift of sustained pressure in the Chicago zone.

8:50: Andrew Ference upends Brandon Saad as he drives towards the Oilers net, resulting in another Chicago man advantage.

6:50: Oilers are able to kill it off. Shots on goal are 17-10 Chicago to this point in the game.

0.0: Shots end up 17-14 after 40 minutes. Oilers pull the goalie at the end of the period to try and get a goal off the faceoff but no such luck.

THIRD PERIOD

16:57: Anton Belov is tripped up coming into the Blackhawks zone by Sheldon Brookbank, resulting in Edmonton's third power play of the night.

8:45: Sam Gagner's shot floats in on Crawford but the Chicago netminder managed to get a blocker on it before it dropped into the net.
7:12: Yakupov hammers two shots on Crawford, to make it 22-21 Chicago on the shot clock.

6:14: Hemsky gets sent off for tripping.

4:36: Chicago looked to have scored with the man advantage but it was ruled as being kicked in by Shaw.

1:58: Blackhawks make it 5-1 after Shaw redirected a Nick Leddy point shot past Bryzgalov.
