15:00: Five minutes into the game, the Oilers had a 4-0 edge in shots over Chicago.

11:19: Chicago's best chance in the early going came when Brandon Pirri fired a shot from the left circle off the post behind Dubnyk. The play came at the end of a long shift for Arcobello's line.
10:00: Five minutes later and Chicago has tied the Oilers in shots on goal at 4-4.

6:15: Jonathan Toews skated in on a two-on-one with Patrick Sharp and tried to pass the puck across but Nick Schultz made a great play to intercept the puck and knock it out of harm's way.

1:37: Brandon Saad jumped on a floating puck in the slot and hammered it past Dubnyk to put the Blackhawks in the lead. | CHI 1, EDM 0

SECOND PERIOD

19:06: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins fires a seeing-eye bullet from the left circle past Crawford to get the Oilers on the board. David Perron made a nice pass off the side boards. | EDM 1, CHI 1
18:10: Blackhawks nearly regain the lead during a mad scramble in front of the Oilers net.

17:52: Taylor Hall took a delay-of-game penalty to put Chicago on the power play for the first time.

15:47: Sam Gagner was hauled down on a breakaway, setting up a penalty shot for the Oilers centre.

15:47: Gagner fanned on his shot attempt as the puck went wide.

12:16: Saad received two minutes for elbowing to send the Oilers to their first man advantage of the period.

11:05: Nail Yakupov hammers a one-timer after a feed from Larsen to score a power play goal for the Oilers, his second of the season. | EDM 2, CHI 1
9:45: Oilers nearly made it 3-1 after a Yakupov shot from the side boards tipped by Smyth in front nearly trickled in. Michal Rozsival swiped the puck away at the goal line.

4:20: Dubnyk makes a brilliant glove save off a slapper from Toews at the left circle.

14:27: Roszival's blast from the point was stopped by Dubnyk but Bickel was right on the doorstep to put in the rebound and give Chicago the lead. | CHI 3, EDM 2
12:33: Nick Leddy gets two minutes for hooking, giving the Oilers a power play with a chance to get back on even terms.

12:02: 30 seconds into the power play, the Oilers converted to tie the game up. Larsen's shot from the point was tipped in front by Perron and in. | EDM 3, CHI 3
10:50: Jesse Joensuu got sent off for holding near the period's midway point.

8:16: Just as the penalty expired, Marcus Kruger picked up the puck in the crease and slipped it along the ice past Dubnyk to give Chicago another lead. | CHI 4, EDM 3
7:01: Nick Schultz gets sent off for interference.

6:29: Duncan Keith fired a shot from the left point that beat Dubnyk to make it 5-3. | CHI 5, EDM 3
