FIRST PERIOD

20:00:
Today's game is now underway.

15:14: Edmonton's best chance in the early going was on a nice two-way passing play between Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Philip Larsen. RNH dished it to Larsen low in the Flyers zone and Larsen's backhand was stopped by Philly starting goaltender Steve Mason.

12:40: Anton Belov gets two minutes for interference to give Philadelphia the game's first power play. Shots were 7-2 Oilers to this point.

10:40: Flyers managed four shots on the power play but could not convert.

9:55: Braydon Coburn rang a shot off the post behind Dubnyk on a wrister from the right circle.

8:04: From the slot, Jay Rosehill redirected a pass from the point by Mark Streit past Devan Dubnyk to put the Flyers on the board. | PHI 1, EDM 0
2:44: Philadelphia extended its lead to two goals after Streit found Hartnell in the slot with a pass from the side boards. Hartnell made no mistake, wiring it past Dubnyk to make it 2-0 for the home side. | PHI 2, EDM 0
0:00: Shots on goal after one period were 13-10 for Philadelphia.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00:
Second period is now underway.

17:21: Wayne Simmonds gets sent off for hooking Andrew Ference, giving Edmonton its first power play of the night.

14:52: Just as the penalty expired, Philadelphia gets another penalty. Zac Rinaldo gets sent off for roughing.

13:10: Dubnyk makes a nice save on Adam Hall on a quick wrist shot from the slot as the Flyers get a great chance shorthanded.
11:00: Oilers don't manage a shot on that power play as Flyers currently hold a 16-13 edge on the shot clock.

10:10: Oilers skate up the ice on a three-on-one. Hemsky's slap shot from the right circle went wide.

8:15: Tempers flare in the corner of the Oilers zone as everyone on the ice engages in some pushing and shoving. Rosehill and Luke Gazdic were sent to the box to set up some four-on-four hockey.
6:09: As soon as Gazdic and Rosehill came out of the box, fists started flying. The two combatants had a spirited bout where neither player really had the edge.

3:08: A hooking penalty on Adam Hall puts Edmonton back on the power play.

1:35: With time winding down in the penalty, Hemsky skated the puck behind the net before feeding it to David Perron. Perron's shot beat Mason along the ice to draw the Oilers to within one. | PHI 2, EDM 1
0:00: Shots on goal after two periods were 22-18 for the Flyers.

THIRD PERIOD

20:00:
Third period is now underway.

13:34: Oilers announce that Luke Gazdic is out for the rest of the game with a shoulder injury.

12:01: Belov drilled Giroux shoulder-to-shoulder but the officials saw it differently, assessing a match penalty to Belov for head contact. That gave Philadelphia a five-minute power play.
10:00: At the midway point of the third period, shots on goal were 27-21 for the Flyers.

9:47: With 2:46 to go in the Belov penalty, Wayne Simmonds received two minutes for cross-checking to set up a couple minutes of four-on-four play.

8:34: Claude Giroux takes advantage of an Oilers turnover and skates up ice. His wrist shot from the left circle beats Dubnyk high for his first goal of the season. | PHI 3, EDM 1
6:35: Oilers get that goal back two minutes later. Sam Gagner's centering pass is picked up by Taylor Hall and Hall rifles it past Mason to make it a one-goal game. | PHI 3, EDM 2
5:36: Gagner receives a boarding penalty after hammering Nicklas Grossmann in the corner of the Flyers zone.

3:27: Just as the penalty expired, Vincent Lecavalier lifted the puck just under the crossbar while stationed on the goal line. | PHI 4, EDM 2

33.5: Mark Streit takes a holding penalty late.
