- Barons centre Anton Lander is nearing a return to the lineup.

Head Coach Todd Nelson revealed Sunday that the 22-year-old's condition has improved and that he could be available to play in Game 6 on Tuesday in Grand Rapids.

"Anton is very close," Nelson said. "He's on the trip with us to Grand Rapids. We'll see where he's at come Tuesday."

The Barons chartered to Grand Rapids immediately after Game 5.

With PK ace Tanner House currently on the shelf with a concussion, the news on Lander couldn't have come at a better time.

Lander last played on May 13 in Game 3 of the Barons' second-round series against the Texas Stars. He suffered a lower-body injury early on in the game, but returned and scored a pivotal goal, vaulting the Barons to a 4-0 victory at the Cox Convention Center.

The product of Sundsvall, Sweden, has posted four goals and one assist in six post-season appearances.

Update: According to's Chris Wescott, Lander participated in the Barons' optional practice Monday afternoon in Grand Rapids.
