PRE-GAME NOTES

It's the last game of the season and the Oilers are looking to continue their momentum from their 6-1 win against the Wild Friday night. We'll have live minute-to-minute updates as the game goes on.

FIRST PERIOD

20:00: GAME ON!! Puck has dropped.

19:45: Turnover in the Canucks zone. Jordan Eberle passed the puck to Taylor Hall but was easily stopped by Roberto Luongo.

14:11: Shot by Chris Higgins was stopped by Devan Dubnyk and the rebound was picked up Ryan Kessler who was also denied.

12:40: Three-on-one chance for the Canucks but it was broken up by Corey Potter.

10:00: Midway through the first, shots are tied at five a piece.

7:29: Dubnyk with the save on Frank Corrado.

4:19: Hall heads to the box as he gets two for hooking.

2:44: Vancouver strikes first. A powerplay goal by Derek Roy beats Dubnyk glove side to put the Canucks up 1-0. | VAN 1, EDM 0

0:00: And after 20 minutes of play, the Canucks are leading 1-0. Shots on net are 9-7 for Vancouver.



SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Puck has dropped and the second period is now underway.

19:45: Dubnyk tested early in the second as Higgins tries to backhand it in but was stopped.

18:16: Justin Schultz alone in front but Luongo was able to make the pad save.

16:02: Sam Gagner with a pass to Corey Potter who was in front but the re-direct went high.

14:03: Some pushing and shoving around the net. Derek Joslin pushes Anton Lander into the net but no penalties were called.

11:53: Kevin Bieksa gets two minutes for delay of game penalty. Oilers on their first powerplay of the night.

11:23: Luongo with the glove save on Justin Schultz's shot from the blue line.

8:40: Oilers are back on the penalty kill as Ryan Smyth gets called for holding.

7:40: Short-handed chance. Ryan Jones with the partial breakaway but Luongo makes the glove save.

3:40: Hall with a chance in front but was poked-checked by Luongo.

1:48: Bieksa and Ladislav Smid were able to throw and land a few punches. Bieksa gets a double minor for roughing and Smid two gets two minutes for roughing and two minutes for slashing.

1:20: Oilers tie it up!  Eberle red-redirects Justin Schultz's shot and the game is now tied 1-1. | EDM 1, VAN 1





THIRD PERIOD

20:00: The third period is now underway.

19:37: Hansen heads to the box as he gets two minutes for boarding.

19:21: The Canucks penalty box is getting full as Mason Raymond gets two minutes for delay-of-game. The Oilers are on a five-on-three powerplay.

17:39: The Oilers take the lead! Nail Yakupov jumps on a rebound and beats Luongo. | EDM 2, VAN 1



16:19: Zack Kassian with the inital shot but was stopped. The rebound was picked up by Tom Sestito to tie the game 2-2. | VAN 2, EDM 2

12:33: The Oilers are back on the powerplay. Keith Ballard gets two mintues for holding on Taylor Hall.

10:15: Ballard out of the penalty box picks up the loose puck and goes on a breakaway. Dubnyk makes the save and the rebound lands on Maxim Lapierre's stick but was also stopped.

8:47: The puck goes past Dubnyk and trickles along the goal line but stays out. Game is still tied 2-2.

6:42: Hall makes a pass to Justin Schultz who beats Luongo and the Oilers are up 3-2. | EDM 3, VAN 2



5:44: Luongo misplays the puck behind the net and puts it on the stick of Mark Fistric. Fistric passes to Yakupov to put in his second of the net. | EDM 4, VAN 2



5:23: Eberle dekes around Andrew Ebbett and beats Luongo top shelf. | EDM 5, VAN 2



4:13: YAKUPOV WITH THE HAT TRICK!! | EDM 6, VAN 2



3:08: Jerred Smithson with his first as an Oilers beat Luongo top shelf. | EDM 7. VAN 2


2:12: Things get rough in front of Dubnyk. Lapierre and Pinizzotto each get a 10-minute misconduct. Mark Fistric gets two minutes for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct.
