PRE-GAME NOTES
 
This is the third and final meeting between the Oilers and the Blue Jackets this season with the series tied 1-1. The Oilers have won four straight at home against the Blue Jackets and are 17-4-1 at Rexall Place against Columbus.
If the Oilers are able to steal two points from Columbus, they will pull into a three-way tie with Dallas and Columbus for 11th in the conference.

With Eric Belanger still out of the lineup due to an injury, Ryan Smyth will move back to playing centre between Lennart Petrell and Mike Brown. Both Mark Fistric and Theo Peckham will be the odd-men out.

10:00: Halfway through the first, shots on net is 9-4, Blue Jackets.

7:56: A pass from Atkinson to Matt Calvert beats Khabibulin top shelf. | CBJ 2, EDM 0

4:51: Magnus Paajarvi picks up the loose puck in front to pull the Oilers within one. | CBJ 2, EDM 1

2:57: The Oilers get their first powerplay opportunity as Artem Anisimov gets two minutes for tripping.

0:00: And after twenty minutes, shots on net are 12-8 for the Blue Jackets. | CBJ 2, EDM 1

FIRST PERIOD NOTES: Paajarvi's goal is his seventh of the year and three of his seven goals have been scored against Columbus.

SECOND PERIOD

12:07: The Oilers get their second powerplay opportunity as Sean Collins high-sticking.

10:00: Midway through the second, shots on net are 14-13.

9:50: FIGHT! Mike Brown and Jared Boll drop the gloves at centre ice. Mike Brown and Jared Boll both get five minutes each for a fighting major.

5:30: The Oilers are on the penalty kill as Lennart Petrell goes to the box for interference.

4:22: A shorthanded two-on-one chance with Ryan Jones and Sam Gagner but was stopped by Bobrovksy.

2:27: The puck crosses the line but the goal is under review as replay shows the puck hitting the skate before going in. THE GOAL WAS WAVED OFF! The game is still tied 2-2.

1:26: Anisimov beats Khabibulin short side and the Blue Jackets re-take the lead. | CBJ 3, EDM 2

0:54: And just like that, the Oilers tie the game! A back pass from Nail Yakupov to Shawn Horcoff finds the open net. | EDM 3, CBJ 3

20:00: Puck has dropped and we're underway in the third.

16:54: Corey Potter from the blue line throws the puck on net and goes through Bobrovsky's five hole. Oilers tie it up again! | EDM 4, CBJ 4
