PRE-GAME NOTES

This is the second of three meetings with the Nashville Predators
. The last time these two teams met was on March 8, when the Oilers were handed their first shutout of the season when they lost 6-0. The Oilers will be looking to rebound from their 3-2 overtime loss to Detroit on Friday. We'll be updating the action from the game as it happens. We'll also be adding photos, videos from big plays and more throughout the game.

Ryan Jones is back in the lineup after missing the last game with an illness in place of Teemu Hartikainen.

20:00: Puck drop! Game is now underway.

13:05: Devan Dubnyk with a huge save on Gabriel Bourque to keep the game scoreless.

10:00: Midway through the first, shots on net is 6-0 for the Predators.

9:47: Jordan Eberle with a chance but was stopped by Pekka Rinne.

5:50: The Oilers go on the powerplay as Craig Smith gets two minutes for roughing.

0:00: After 20 minutes of play, the game remains scoreless. Shots on net are 10-6 for the Predators.

FIRST PERIOD NOTES: Mark Fistric is back after missing the last eight games, since Feb. 28. Fistric had 6:06 ice time and blocked two shots.


SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Puck has dropped. Second period is now underway.

12:42: Oilers get their second powerplay opportunity as Ryan Elis gets two minutes for cross-checking.

8:11: The Oilers go on the penalty kill as Ales Hemsky gets two minutes for holding the stick.

4:51: The Oilers are back in the box again as Nick Schultz serves two minutes for slashing.

3:23: Shea Weber from the blue line beats Devan Dubnyk. Predators tie it up, 1-1. | EDM, 1, NSH 1

1:25: Dubnyk with a huge glove save on Roman Josi.

0:00: The score after two periods is 1-1 tie. Shots on net, 17-16 for the Predators.

SECOND PERIOD NOTES: Predators defenseman will not be returning to the game as he has left with an upper body injury. Paajarvi's goal is his fourth in eight games and is now tied with Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall with six goals on the season.

THIRD PERIOD

20:00: Puck has dropped. We start the third.

18:17: Nail Yakupov with a slapshot but was stopped by Rinne.

13:11: Dubnyk with a huge save on Josi to keep the game tied.

10:30: The Oilers are back on the penalty kill as Justin Schultz gets two for delay of game.

9:07: A two-on-one shorhanded rush led by Sam Gagner and Lennart Petrell. Gagner passes to Petrell who scores to give the Oilers a 2-1 lead. | EDM, 2, NSH 1
 
4:12: The Oilers extend their lead as Jordan Eberle roofs one pass Rinne. | EDM 3, NSH 1

Nick Schultz goes back to the box again for hooking.

2:40: The Predators pull their goalie for an extra skater on the ice during their powerplay.

1:34: Scrum in front of Dubnyk but he manages to keep it out. Goalie is still on the bench for the Predators.

0:09: Josi scores a late one to pull the Predators within one. | EDM 3, NSH 2

0:00: OILERS HOLD ONTO THE LEAD AND WIN 3-2. SHOTS ON NET WERE 31-21 FOR THE PREDATORS.
