Oilers Recall Danis
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled goaltender Yann Danis from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
Danis, 31, has appeared in 28 games for the Barons posting a 2.99 GAA and a 0.905 save percentage, recording a 13-12-3 record this season.
The 5’11”, 182-pound Lafontaine, QC native is in second season with the Oilers’ AHL affiliate where he has handled a majority of the workload in net. Danis, who was named to the 2012 AHL All-Star Game, has played in 257 career AHL games with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and Oklahoma City Barons.
The Brown University product has played in 50 NHL games in his career with Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and the Edmonton Oilers.
