20:00:
The third period is now underway. Taylor Fedun is back on the bench for the Barons.

15:43: Jordan Eberle gets kneed in the Barons zone by Antoine Roussel and limps off to the bench. Moments later, Colten Teubert jumps Roussel. For his actions, Roussel gets five minutes for kneeing and a game misconduct. Teubert gets two for instigating and five for fighting as well as a game misconduct. The result is a Texas power play for two minutes.
 
13:43: Eberle serves the penalty and then skates out to join the play after coming out of the box, showing no ill effects from the kneeing incident.

13:21: Brandon Davidson gets sent off for interference, giving Texas another power play with another chance to draw within a goal.

1:49: Texas pulls goaltender Jack Campbell from the net.

0:00: Final shot count in the game is 29-19 for Texas but Barons pull out the 4-2 win.

17:36: Barons take a 3-1 lead after Antti Tyrvainen rips a shot in. Taylor Fedun and Kristians Pelss get the assists. | OKC 3, TEX 1

17:36: Jack Campbell replaces Nilstorp in goal for Texas. Nilstorp made 9 saves on 12 shots.

14:09: Texas gets back in the game after Cody Eakin scores, making it a one-goal game once again. | OKC 3, TEX 2

7:15: Texas Stars go down a man after Brenden Dillon takes a penalty for holding in the stick in the defensive zone.

6:54: Schultz nets his second power play goal fo the game, rifling a shot from the right point that found its way into the top corner. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Magnus Paajarvi net the assists. The goal puts Schultz all alone atop the AHL scoring leaders with 12 points in 7 games. | OKC 4, TEX 2

3:45: Taylor Fedun takes a high stick and skates to the bench. He later leaves the bench and heads to the room.

0:00: Second period comes to an end with Barons leading 4-2 and holding a 17-15 edge on the shot clock.

Tonight's game is now underway.

18:26: Texas has the first solid scoring chance of the game as Mike Hedden pounces on a rebound and fires it on what looks like an open net but Olivier Roy gets across and knocks the puck out of harm's way with his blocker.

12:29: Oklahoma City gets on the board first. Dane Byers skates in on the left wing and rips it past Stars netminder Cristopher Nilstorp to make it 1-0 for the home side. Davidson and VandeVelde get the assists. | OKC 1, TEX 0

10:57: Texas comes right back and ties it up. Matt Fraser fires a shot from the slot that beats Roy through the five-hole. | OKC 1, TEX 1

8:56: Texas takes the game's first penalty. Taylor Vause gets sent off for tripping.

7:56: With just over a minute to go in the power play, Justin Schultz takes a shot from the point that bounces several times and finds its way into the back of the net. Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins with the assists. | OKC 2, TEX 1


0:00: Shots on goal ater one period were 11 to 10 for Oklahoma City.





The Oklahoma City Barons take on the Texas Rangers for a late afternoon clash. We'll be updating the action from the game as it happens. We'll also be adding photos, videos from big plays and more throughout the game.

After missing most of last game after taking a high stick in the first period, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is back in the lineup today. Antti Tyrvainen and Kristians Pelss also draw back in as Curtis Hamilton and Ryan Martindale sit this one out.

Alex Plante is also a healthy scratch on D with Dan Ringwald drawing back in. Olivier Roy gets the start in goal.
