Oilers agree to terms with Gagner
Centre, Oilers agree on a one-year contract before arbitration hearing
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with centre Sam Gagner on a one-year contract.
The deal will pay Gagner $3.2M next season.
Gagner, 22, played in 75 games last season with the Oilers scoring a career-high 18 goals with 29 assists for 47 points highlighted by an NHL record-tying eight-point night vs. Chicago Blackhawks on February 2, 2012.
The 5'11", 195-pound London, ON native has spent his entire career with Edmonton since being drafted by the club 6th overall in 2007. In his five seasons, Gagner has played in 366 games collecting 220 points (77G, 143A).
