Welcome back to another edition of the Barons live in-game blog. For those unfamiliar with this new feature we've introduced for the third round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, we'll be updating the action from the game as it happens. We'll also be adding photos, videos from big plays and more throughout the game.
The Barons will see two new additions up front for tonight's game. Triston Grant returns from his suspension while Josh Green returns from his upper-body injury. Cameron Abney and Curtis Hamilton draw out. The line combinations have also been shuffled. VandeVelde moves to the fourth line with Grant and House, Green moves back in between Paajarvi and Hartikainen.
Line Combinations (and defence pairings) for the Barons:
Magnus Paajarvi - Josh Green - Teemu Hartikainen
Philippe Cornet - Mark Arcobello - Ryan Keller
Antti Tyrvainen - Anton Lander - Tyler Pitlick
Triston Grant - Chris VandeVelde - Tanner House
Dylan Yeo - Alex Plante
Bryan Rodney - Taylor Chorney
Bryan Helmer - Dan Ringwald
Yann Danis
20:00: Puck drops to start the game.
15:39: Toronto takes the first penalty of the night as Jake Gardiner gets two for high sticking just past the game's four-minute mark.
11:28: Triston Grant backhands a shot off the post behind Scrivens and out. Grant raises his arms briefly, thinking he had scored.
10:31: The puck is flipped in behind the Marlies defence to Cornet, who's perched in front of the Marlies net all alone but Scrivens lunges to poke it out of harm's way.
6:18: Nicolas Deschamps takes a shot from the left circle that ricochets off the mask of Yann Danis. Phil Dupuis puts home the rebound from in front of the net. MARLIES 1, BARONS 0
2:23: Matt Frattin gets called for roughing and at the whistle things get heated up between both sides with some pushing and shoving going on in the corner. OKC goes on their second power play.
0:00: First period comes to a close. Shots on goal were 13 to 5 for Oklahoma City but Toronto had a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard. |

20:00: The second period is now underway.
18:30: The puck takes a wild hop after a point shot by Philippe Cornet on the Marlies net. The puck bounces off Scrivens and then off Keller and in. Upon review, it's ruled that the puck was directed in by a glove so the goal is disallowed.
17:47: Barons take a penalty for having too many men on the ice. Toronto goes on their first power play of the game.
13:54: Simon Gysbers clears the puck over the glass from his own zone, resulting in a delay-of-game penalty and Barons power play.
11:54: Barons get some good looks during the power play including sustained pressure in the Marlies zone but are unable to beat Scrivens.
8:37: Another bounce doesn't go OKC's way as Deschamps scores from the side of the net to double Toronto's lead. MARLIES 2, BARONS 0
4:04: Keller spots Cornet with a nice pass over to the right circle. His dangerous one-timer is kicked away by Scrivens.
1:52: Scrivens makes another great stop, snagging a shot from VandeVelde with his glove on a partial break.
0:05: Cornet gets hit with the puck on a Dylan Yeo point shot. He skates to the bench in pain.
0:00: Shots after two are 20-12 for Oklahoma City but Marlies lead 2-0 on the scoreboard. |

20:00: David LeNeveu replaces Yann Danis to start the third period. Coach Nelson also swaps Keller and Paajarvi; Paajarvi now skating with Arcobello and Cornet.
9:53: Midway through the third period, OKC held a 6-1 edge in shots on the Marlies but were unable to truly generate any Grade A scoring chances with the Marlies content to sit back and wait for the Barons to come at them.
7:11: Dylan Yeo gets two for hooking. He loses his stick in the Marlies player then raises his arms in innocence as referee Jean Hebert whistles it down.
1:38: Marlies add an empty-net goal to ice the outcome. Jerry D'Amigo skates along the left side boards before depositing it ito the open cage. MARLIES 3, BARONS 0
