0:00: Tempers flare once again at the end of the game, setting the stage for an epic next three games up north. See you in T.O!

8.9:
Taylor Chorney is dumped in front of the Toronto net, resulting in Toronto's Simon Gysbers having to spend the remaining 9 seconds of the game in the box.

2:07:
Tempers flare as a line brawl breaks out between the two sides, highlighted by a fight between Tanner House and Will Acton. Cam Abney also gets into it with Korbinian Holzer. Holzer received five for fighting and a game misconduct for being the third man in which would result in supplementary discipline. The result of everything is that the two sides will play out the stretch four-on-four.

2:32: Ryan Keller adds an empty-net goal with a seeing-eye shot from centre ice to put the game completely out of reach. BARONS 5, MARLIES 1

3:35: Taylor Chorney skates into the Toronto zone before dishing it off to Magnus Paajarvi who fires the puck on goal. Chris VandeVelde picks up the rebound and puts it past Scrivens. BARONS 4, MARLIES 1

6:37:
Ryan Keller takes a slashing penalty to put Toronto back on the power play.

7:24:
With time ticking off the clock in the third period, the Barons are content to sit back and let the Marlies try and penetrate their defence.

9:40:
Chris VandeVelde is upended by Mike Zigomanis as OKC rushes into the Marlies zone. VandeVelde tumbles into the Toronto net, taking it off its supports but no call is made by the officials much to the chagrin of the Barons faithful at Cox Convention Center.

10:39:
On a delayed penalty, Will Acton skates in around the Barons defence and then puts a move on Yann Danis to score and draw the Marlies within a pair of goals. BARONS 3, MARLIES 1

15:16:
Marlies take a penalty for having too many men on the ice. Barons up a man for the first time in the final frame.

20:00:
Third period is underway.

1:58:
Barons head to the box again. Antti Tyrvainen is sent off for slashing.

3:31: Shortly after the penalty expires, Arcobello at the left side of the net finds Philippe Cornet on the right side. His cross-crease pass is on the money and the Barons now lead it 3-0. BARONS 3, MARLIES 0

5:53:
Dylan Yeo gets ticketed for inferference, giving the Marlies their fourth PP opportunity of the night.

5:56:
Nazem Kadri rings a shot off the post behind Danis.

8:36:
Hartikainen has a great chance in the slot but is upended by Jerry D'Amigo to put OKC on the power play for the sixth time.

10:31:
Magnus Paajarvi fires a shot on goal that is scooped by Scrivens. Hartikainen skates in for the rebound and is decked, creating a big of a skirmish in front of the Marlies net.

13:34:
Will Acton creates a turnover and breaks in alone on Yann Danis for a shorthanded chance but the Barons netminder is equal to the task, making a huge stop to keep it a two-goal game.

14:46:
Blacker's second penalty of the game -- this one for high sticking -- puts the Barons back on the power play.

19:30:
Mike Zigomanis takes a cross-checking penalty 30 seconds into the middle frame to put Oklahoma City back on the power play.

0:00:
After leading in shots 7-3 at one point, the Barons and Marlies ended up even at 11-11. However, OKC was up where it counts most -- on the scoreboard, Up 2-0.

8.9: Just a couple seconds after the penalty expires, Teemu Hartikainen rips a one-timer from the high slot past Scrivens following a great pass off the side boards from Magnus Paajarvi to give the Barons a 2-0 lead. BARONS 2, MARLIES 0

2:11
Cornet is upended skating out of his zone by Jesse Blacker, putting the Barons up a man in the latter stages of the opening period.

5:53:
Alex Plante levels Mueller in the corner and sparks start flying. Arcobello and Yeo really get into it for the Barons while Holzer was the primary aggressor on the Marlies side along with Mark Fraser. The extra two minutes goes to Plante, putting Toronto back on the power play.

7:15:
Tyler Pitlick snaps a shot from the right faceoff circle that Scrivens has some trouble with. It takes a weird hop off his shoulder and just misses the cage.

8:11:
Barons do a great job limiting Toronto's chances. Marlies fail to register a shot on goal during the power play.

10:37:
Bryan Rodney's hooking penalty gives Toronto its first power play opportunity of the night.

14:48:
Nicolas Deschamps takes a slashing penalty to put OKC back on the power play.

15:37: The Barons move the puck around exceptionally well, eventually connecting on a power play goal -- only the second PPG allowed by the Marlies in these playoffs. The finishing play was Philippe Cornet perfectly threading the puck through the legs of the Toronto defender to Mark Arcobello. Arcobello scores on the second effort. BARONS 1, MARLIES 0

16:56:
A tripping penalty to the Marlies' Marcel Mueller initially turns a four-on-four into a five-on-four due to the extra attacker and then once the whistle is blown gives the Barons a four-on-three man advantage.

18:13:
Ryan Keller and Nazem Kadri both get sent off for roughing as Game 2 opens with a much more physical edge than Game 1.

20:00:
Puck drops to start the game.
