Aquila Productions Receives Thirteen AMPIA Nominations

Edmonton, AB – Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - Aquila Productions is pleased to announce that they have received thirteen nominations for the 2012 AMPIA Awards. The Alberta Media Production Industries Association Awards (AMPIA), celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement in Albertan film, television and new media.
Congratulations go out to everyone at Aquila Productions and it's affiliated production personnel for receiving these 13 nominations!
Aquila received three nominations for "Oil Change" - a documentary series on the rebuilding of the Edmonton Oiler franchise; three nominations for "Rod's Classics" - a documentary on the historic career of Hockey Hall of Fame announcer Rod Phillips; two nominations for "The Extra Yard: Inside the 2011 Argo's" - a critically acclaimed series that went behind the scenes with the Toronto CFL team; two nominations for the promotional video, "Polo: Sport of Kings"; two nominations for the "AHL Outdoor Classic" and one nomination for "Canada's Sports Hall of Fame."

The 2012 Alberta Film and Television Awards are held Saturday May 12th at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Calgary.
