Oilers recall Rodney

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Bryan Rodney on an emergency basis from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
Rodney, 27, has played in 21 games with the Barons this season, recording nine points (1G, 8A) and eight penalty minutes.
The 6'0", 204-pound London, Ontario native has also played 41 games with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, where he had 20 points (5G, 15A) and 10 penalty minutes.
Rodney, who was acquired by the Oilers on February 16, 2012, in exchange for Ryan O'Marra, has appeared in 33 career NHL games with the Carolina Hurricanes scoring once and adding 12 assists.
