Oilers recall VandeVelde
25-year-old has posted 7 goals & 22 points in 65 games with OKC Barons

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled centre Chris VandeVelde from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
VandeVelde, 25, has played 65 games this season with the Barons recording 22 points (7G, 15A). In 132 career AHL games, the Moorhead, MN native has 38 points (19G, 19A).
The 6'2", 204-pound centre also has 12 career NHL games under his belt with the Oilers collecting two assists. VandeVelde was selected by Edmonton in the 4th round, 97th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
