Lander assigned to Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City – The Edmonton Oilers assigned forward Anton Lander to the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.
Lander, a 20-year old from Sundsvall, Sweden, was the Oilers 2nd round draft choice in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. With Edmonton this season, he has recorded six points (2-4-6) in 56 games.
Prior to turning pro, the 6-0, 194-pounder played four seasons with Timira IK in the Swedish Elite League. In 177 games, he recorded 55 points (23-32-55). He represented Sweden three times at the IIHF World Junior Championships. Lander will join the Barons early next week in Oklahoma City.
