Oilers recall Plante
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Alex Plante  from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.

Plante, 22, has played in 28 games this season for the Barons recording a goal and ten assists with 63 penalty minutes.

The 6’4”, 225-pound Brandon, Manitoba native has appeared in two games with the Oilers this year collecting one assist. In nine career NHL games with the Oilers he has two assists and 15 penalty minutes.

Plante was Edmonton's first round selection, 15th overall, at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
