Oilers assign O'Marra

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have assigned centre Ryan O'Marra to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
O'Marra, 24, has played 20 games this season with the Barons recording eight points (4G, 4A) and 40 penalty minutes. He was recalled last week and played three games for the Oilers collecting an assist.
The 6'2", 220-pound Tokyo, Japan native appeared in 21 games with the Oilers last year collecting a goal and four assists. He also played 53 games with the Barons scoring two goals and adding 20 assists.
