Oilers recall Plante
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Alex Plante  from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.

Plante, 22, was assigned yesterday to Oklahoma City after being recalled earlier in the week. In nine career NHL games with the Oilers he has two assists and 15 penalty minutes.
 
The 6’4”, 225-pound Brandon, Manitoba native has played in 18 games this season for the Barons recording five assists and 50 penalty minutes.

Plante was Edmonton's first round selection, 15th overall, at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
