Oilers assign Petry

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers are assigning defenceman Jeff Petry to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
Petry, 23, appeared in three games with the Oilers this season collecting two penalty minutes. Last season he played 35 games with Edmonton scoring a goal and adding four assists.
The 6’3”, 196-pound Ann Arbor, Michigan native also played 41 games with Oklahoma City where he had 24 points (7G, 17A).
Petry was drafted by the Oilers in the 2nd round, 45th overall, in 2006.
