Vote for the Play of the Week - Oct. 9-16
Each week, edmontonoilers.com reviews all the top goals, saves, hits and fights and narrows it down to the final three. That means it's up to you, the fans, to decide which is the top play for the week.

There was plenty to choose from over the past week as the Oilers' 2011-12 regular season got underway. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has stolen the show, scoring four goals in three games to lead his team. Along with Devan Dubnyk's spectacular save vs. Pittsburgh, here are the choices for the Play of the Week:

Nugent-Hopkins' Hatty

It sure didn't take long for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to become a star at Rexall Place. RNH scored three times, including a pair in the opening period to record his first career NHL hat trick in only four games (a new Oilers record). Following the moment, the 16,839 in attendance chanted and cheered his name for as long as their lungs and vocal chords could stand.

Dubnyk Robs Letang

Devan Dubnyk made 33 saves on opening night, but none were more spectacular than his denial of Penguins D man Kris Letang midway through the third. Pittsburgh's No. 58 broke in a 2-on-1, danced around a diving Cam Barker and put a shot on the sophomore 'tender. Dubnyk said no.

RNH's First NHL Goal

With the Oilers down 1-0 vs. Pittsburgh and in need of a spark (and a goal), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins came through in the clutch. The 18-year-old rookie collected the puck at the goal-mouth, shooting once and banging home his own rebound to bring the Oilers back on his even terms.
