By Edmonton Oilers Press Release
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation today officially launched the fourth annual Winner’s Choice Lottery, a unique lottery in Alberta where winners have the option to take cash on all the major prizes.

The prize package is headlined by the most valuable Grand Prize Showhome in Alberta and is located in South Edmonton’s Upper Windermere. Custom built by Carriage Signature Homes, the Winner’s Choice Lottery grand prize boasts 4,750 sq. ft. of finished living space. The winner will have the option to take the home or $2,000,000 cash.

The Winner’s Choice Lottery Early Bird prize is a 2011 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The winner will have the option to take the car or $135,000 cash.

Natalie Minckler, Executive Director of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation said, “We are extremely thrilled to be awarding this beautiful home, an Aston Martin or the very popular cash options.  And with 4,588 prizes up for grabs, lottery supporters will have a 1 in 15 chance to win a prize, the best odds we’ve ever had.  Winner’s Choice Lottery has been around for four years now and the proceeds raised are making a big impact on young lives in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

“Another exciting enhancement for this year is the choice of the Take 50 Add-on. Take 50 Add-ons are $10 each, five-pack for $25, or fifteen-pack for $50. The guaranteed payout is $180,000, but we expect to far exceed that figure” added Natalie. Take 50 Jackpot information is available at WinnersChoiceLottery.com.

The proceeds from the Winner’s Choice Lottery will support the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation Legacy project, the re-development of Edmonton’s Inner City High School. Over the years, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation has gifted millions of dollars to hundreds of charities in our community who focus their activities on youth, education, health and wellness.

Winner’s Choice Lottery tickets are only $100 each; $250 for three or $375 for five. For more information on the lottery visit www.WinnersChoiceLottery.com or contact Natalie Minckler at 780-409-5810. For more information on the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation visit www.oilersfoundation.ca
