Oilers Hockey School presented by Cenovus Energy comes to a close
In addition to getting top-notch hockey instruction, several Oilers players made an appearance, drawing kids into long lines to get autographs and a photo taken with their hockey heroes.
Oilers Hockey School began on July  17 in Fort McMurray for one week and then moved to St. Albert for the past three weeks. During that time, over 700 young hockey players aged five to 14 have had the opportunity to improve and develop their hockey skills while also building individual character to enhance their game.

“The Oilers Hockey School Presented by Cenovus Energy is another example of the Oilers’ commitment to the community and to grassroots hockey programs around Northern Alberta,” stated Trevor Murphy, Director of Community Partnerships. “We are pleased to partner with Cenovus to provide this opportunity to over 700 young hockey players this summer. This is our fifth year of the program and it keeps growing”

At Oilers Hockey School there’s been a lot of expert instruction, on-ice skill development, off-ice training and workshops surrounding personal health and wellbeing for the young players. The participants in attendance were also treated to a few special visits by current Oilers Theo Peckham, Ales Hemsky amd Cam Barker.

The edmontonoilers.com team was there every step of the way. Check out some of the features we've put together over the past few weeks:
