"We are so proud to be the first Canadian NHL Cheer Team and we are so very proud of our Octane," said Patrick LaForge, Oilers President & CEO. "Oilers fans just can't get enough Octane!"
An information session will be held at 7:00pm on August 11, 2011 at Telus Field’s Home Plate Club. Anyone who is considering trying out for the Octane should attend the information session to learn more about time commitment, dance requirements and to ask any questions to Octane coaching staff.
On August 18, all candidates will have the opportunity to learn the dance and prepare for the first official day of tryouts on August 19, both of which will be held at the Shaw Conference Centre. The first cuts will be made at the end of tryouts on August 19 and one-on-one interviews will be held on August 20. The final roster will be selected on August 21 after the final candidates participate in the public tryout performance at West Edmonton Mall’s Newcap Radio stage.
