Oilers agree to terms with Potter

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with free agent defenceman Corey Potter on a one-year two-way contract.
Potter, 27, spent last season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League where he scored 37 points (7G, 30A) and 52 penalty minutes in 75 games.
The 6’2”, 185-pound Lansing, MI native has appeared in 321 career AHL games collecting 139 points (28G, 111A).
Potter, who was originally drafted by the New York Rangers in 2003, also has skated in nine NHL games with the Rangers and Penguins with a goal and assist.
Edmonton Oilers hockey is presented in part by the Rexall Family of Pharmacies, Molson Canadian, ATB Financial, Cenovus Energy and Ford.
