Oilers ink Swedish prospect Lander

Lander, selected in the second round (40th overall) of the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft, just completed his fourth season with Timra in the Swedish Elite League, collecting 26 points (11-15-26) and 38 penalty minutes in 49 games played. The 20-year-old has played in 177 career professional games, notching 55 points (23-32-55) and 68 penalty minutes.
The 6’0”, 195lbs native of Sundsvall, Sweden represented Sweden at the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championship, serving as an alternate captain and registering eight points (5-3-8) in six games played, leading Team Sweden to a bronze medal. He also appeared in six exhibition games for Team Sweden at the 2011 World Championship scoring a goal and adding five assists.
