Oilers recall Hartikainen, assign Giroux

Hartikainen, 20, made his professional debut with the Barons this season and has 42 points (17G,25A) in 66 games.
The 6’1”, 215-pound Finnish native was named the AHL Rookie of the Month in January. He recorded 14 points (4G,10A) in 15 games for the month.
Hartikainen, who is expected to play his first National Hockey League game this week with the Oilers, was drafted by the team in the 6th round, 163rd overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Giroux was recalled to Edmonton on March 5 and appeared in five games with the Oilers collecting a goal and an assist.
The 29-year-old had 29 goals and 36 assists for 65 points as well as 57 penalty minutes in 61 games this season with the Barons to rank first in team scoring and second in scoring in the entire AHL at the time of his recall.
In 697 career AHL games, Giroux has 637 points (337G, 300A) and 831 penalty minutes.
