The Faceoff gave fans the opportunity to interact with members of the Octane, while watching the Edmonton Oilers take on the Philadelphia Flyers on the road. Those who RSVPed to the event received a free beverage and complimentary wings and ribs, thanks to Oilers Octane.
A series of contests for those in attendance also highlighted the night, where a few lucky fans were able to take home great prizes such as jerseys, signed Oilers merchandise, Oilers Octane calendars and gift certificates to The Rack. Everyone at the event also left with a free Octane t-shirt as a token for attending the affair.
Adrienne, a member of the Oilers Octane, was incredibly pleased with the turnout and success of the Faceoff.
"I always love meeting Oilers fans, and being able to interact with them like this is definitely a great experience," said Adrienne, "The Faceoff was a great way to launch our Facebook fan page and I hope members of Oil Country will ‘like’ the page."
The event was also a huge hit with the fans who were a part of the festivities.
“The night’s been excellent!” said Charles Jackson, a winner of a $100 gift certificate to The Rack and a signed Jordan Eberle jersey and stick, “Meeting the Octane was excellent, they’re all really nice people. It was the best night in a long time.”
With the launch of their new Facebook page, the Octane also announced a new contest. All you have to do is “like” the Official Edmonton Oilers Octane Facebook page, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win four seats to the April 5 Oilers game vs. the Canucks and an Octane meet-and-greet, the contest closes March 31.
