It's been quite a while since I last wrote a blog so I figured what better time to do it then after the All Star break when I'll actually have interesting stories to tell.I guess the main thing was that a handful of us went to Vegas and that was pretty awesome. In Vegas there's always something to do every single day and it was a great time for the guys just to get away and enjoy the entertainment that city has to offer.
We saw a couple of shows including Zumanity. I've already seen a bunch of Cirque shows but this one was pretty "revealing" if you know what I mean. They're so acrobatic and the stuff they do is amazing, so that was pretty neat.
Every time I go there I think the best part of Vegas is the food. I don't think you can get a bad meal there. They bring in chefs from all over the place and have some really nice fancy restaurants.
If I had to pick a favourite meal of them all I'd have to say the steak I had at Nine in the Palms Hotel. Ladislav Smid and I literally grabbed our knives by two fingers and sawed back and forth lightly without pushing down and it cut right through our steak. It was unbelievable. I also really liked Oceans Club in the huge new Cosmopolitan complex in city centre. That place is absolutely ridiculous. I was amazed by it.
I can't write a blog without mentioning movies, so I should probably admit that I've seen the Social Network three times in the past week. I love that movie. I'm just baffled by the person that created Facebook and how much it's worth. That guy's a genius.
Anyway, just about to head to the rink for practice. I'll try to do a better job of blogging this year. I'm also thinking of joining Twitter, now that Ryan Jones is doing it. What do you think?
