Principe\'s Blog: Santa\'s Helper
I don't have a grey beard but I do have some grey hair. I don't have a belly but I also won't be on the cover of any men's health magazines. I know Santa is very busy this time of the year so I thought I could save him some time and deliver presents to the Edmonton Oilers.

#2 Jim Vandermeer: A return to the same kind of player he was just before he got hurt.
#4 Taylor Hall: Doesn't really need anything but if I had to give him something I'd say the ability to make sure he keeps his head up in the neutral zone.
#5 Ladislav Smid: How about two front teeth since he had them knocked out while he was playing in the minors.
#6 Ryan Whitney: A goal.
#10 Shawn Horcoff: Some more respect.
#13 Andrew Cogliano: Maybe a new number to change his luck.
#14 Jordan Eberle: He may not need them but a couple more inches and pounds.
#16 Colin Fraser: For the fans to realize how good a guy he can be in the room.
#22 J-F Jacques: The back of a young man and not an old man.
#23 Linus Omark: The rest of the season with the Oilers.
#26 Kurtis Foster: Both he and his wife to have some health and happiness.
#27 Dustin Penner: A break from his critics and someone to piss him off so he plays mad more often.
#28 Ryan Jones: A haircut so he can continue to donate that hair to make wigs for young cancer patients who lose theirs in treatment.
#29 Martin Gerber: Another chance to play in the NHL.
#33 Steve MacIntyre: Playing time.
#35 Nikolai Khabibulin: For the fountain of youth not to run out of water.
#40 Devan Dubnyk: Patience, patience, patience while he waits his turn to be number one.
#42 Ryan O'Marra: To just keep working hard because that's what brought him this chance.
#43 Jason Strudwick: More games and some kind of award for being one of the game's best people.
#46 Zack Stortini: Continued growth in the toughest role in hockey.
#49 Theo Peckham: To never change from being a really nice kid until he gets on the ice.
#67 Gilbert Brule: To understand how important he is when he plays gritty, in your face hockey.
#77 Tom Gilbert: At least one mean bone in his body so his toughness won't be questioned.
#83 Ales Hemsky: A season without injury.
#89 Sam Gagner: The shootout magic that he once had.
#91 Magnus Paajarvi: To get used to life in North America because he's going to be here for a while.

Frederic Chabot: More of the same when it comes to working with both young and old(er) in net.
Steve Smith: Time with his family who is living in Chicago.
Kelly Buchberger: For his penalty killing prowess as a player to rub off on Edmonton's PK unit.
Ralph Kreuger: The smooth transition from international hockey to the NHL to continue.
Tom Renney: A playoff spot.
Rick Olczyk: For people to know how good he is at his assistant GM job.
Steve Tambellini: A playoff spot or a lottery pick.
Kevin Lowe: From worst to first while he is president.
Daryl Katz: An arena.

There you have it Santa's gifts for the Edmonton Oilers. From the Principes' to all of you here's hoping you get the gift you want this year under the Christmas tree.
