Oilers assign Shawn Belle

25-year-old defenceman returns to Barons after playing four games with Oilers

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have assigned defenceman Shawn Belle to Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.

Belle, 25, was called up to the Oilers on November 16 and played in four games averaging 16:10 minutes per game. In 17 games with the Barons this season he has 15 points (2G, 13A) and 21 penalty minutes.
 
The 6’1”, 235-pound Edmonton native was signed as a free agent by this summer by the Oilers.
