Oilers recall Martin Gerber

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled goaltender Martin Gerber from Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.Gerber, 36, has played in 13 games this season with a 9-4-0 record, 2.56 GAA, .911 save percentage and one shutout. The 6’0”, 199lb Switzerland native has won his last seven starts and is second in the AHL in wins (9), and third in minutes played (798).
Gerber was signed as a free agent by Edmonton on August 6, 2010. In 226 NHL games he has a 110-78-21 record, 2.65 GAA and .910 save percentage.
